Delousing Chambers

|| Return to Part VIII ||

Delousing chambers survived the war, Nazi disassembly, and vandalism only partially. Confusion over the nature and uses of the equipment seen here has been exploited by revisionist allegations that these are the infamous gas chambers of Auschwitz and that they were obviously too limited to have killed as many as claimed by survivors. Architectural drawings produced during the war years make it clear that clothing is what was processed.
