ABANDONED Search : GINSBERG / MILSZTAJN / STEINBERG
from Tshechego Maia (3rd May Street), Skarzysko-Kamienna in pre World War 2 Poland


We are NO LONGER searching for the whereabouts of the GINSBERG / MILSZTAJN / STEINBERG family.
We believe at least three of them may have survived the War
The family structure we have is as follows:

Generation 1 Grandparents
Hershel STEINBERG married Chaya KOZLOWSSKA
Generation 2
Samuel STEINBERG went to the USA has son Joseph
Dwora STEINBERG married Ascher MILSZTAJN b. 1889
last address (1944):- Trzeciego Maja (3rd May Street), Skarzysko-Kamienna Poland
Generation 3
Children of Dwora and Ascher MILSZTAJN:-
1. Minka MILSZTAJN born approx 1917 in Suchedniow, Poland
married Elek (might be Alek) GINSBERG (he had family in the US).
It is possible that they married in Szczekociny, Poland.
Last known address:- Skarzysko-Kamienna Poland left (they also had a child) with the Polish army before the Germans took over their home town.
Elek and Minka tried to leave via Gdynia to Palestine in 1937 or 1938, but couldn’t get out. Maybe they survived and made it to Israel?
2. Zindel MILSZTAJN born 1921 in Suchedniow, Poland
Last known address (1939):- Trzeciego Maja (3rd May Street), Skarzysko-Kamienna Poland
was a student when he fled in 1939.
left with the Polish army before the Germans took over their home town.
In 1944 reported in Orsk, USSR.
When Howard returned to Skarzysko-Kamienna after liberation from the concentration camp there were other returnees and one said he saw Howard’s brother in 1944 in USSR Orsk.
3. Moishe MILSZTAJN born approx 1925 in Suchedniow, Poland
Last known address (1944):- Trzeciego Maja (3rd May Street), Skarzysko-Kamienna Poland
Moishe was a child who presumably died with his mother at the hands of the Germans.
