In 1930, my parents and my older brother moved to Budapest where, in May of that year, father started working for the Gruenfeld Brothers' wholesale business. Two years later, I was born. It was 1932, the year the Nazi party experienced its first success at the polls in Germany– not the best year for a Jewish child to come into this world in Europe. |
