New Photo/Art Auschwitz Exhibit

JUST RELEASED AT REMEMBER.ORG
NEW PHOTOS AND PAINTINGS BY SURVIVORS: Remember.org is proud to share the latest work, Alan Jacob’s New Photo/Art Exhibit, Now and Then; see paintings by survivors and photos from the same location of those paintings today. Half a century after liberation, Auschwitz remains a monument to the millions who lived and perished there during World War II. This exhibit attempts to contrast contemporary photographs of Auschwitz as it exists today, with images of what it was like during the war as remembered by artist-survivors.

Holocaust art
Paintings by Survivor Tamara Deuel

Israeli artist Deuel is a survivor. She writes:

“I have been able to transfer the horror of the Holocaust in my art. Every individual who survived that other world, has a duty to leave documentation behind so that future generations will remember and will not forget.”
